Jimi Beavis is all class. A gentleman giant of the Brisbane roots scene who knows what’s what. Like his heroes Nick Cave and Tom Waits, Jimi’s original songs draw upon the darkness of humankind but the hipshaking old school rhythms that gave music its good time dancibility. Yet the songs remain relevant and irresistible to live audiences when Jimi delivers them in his inimitable way.
The Neon Signs are a band from Brisbane, Australia. Their songs are kinda, sorta a bit quirky and a bit dark country, mixed with the sounds of one of those alternative 80s indie guitar bands who sometimes verge on pop. Or something like that. Achieved Number 11 in the 4ZZZ Hot 100 2024.
Cosmic Cowboy and the Incognitos. The Incognitos are a loose conglomeration of individuals, some in bands such as The Daisy Rifles, Ultrafeedy, Superfry’d, Bird Dog Blue and others are free spirits who come and go from musical projects on a whim. The Cosmic Cowboy is Greg Eales, a multi-instrumentalist who also plays in Bird Dog Blue, One Track Pony and Countrified.
The RandomiZZZed Experience. An emerging super group of talented musicians and a radio hack keep it loose at their debut performance
