Sunny Coast synth-rockers Love Thrills are stepping out of the studio for one night only, taking a micro break from putting the finishing touches on their debut EP and new single Toxic to bring an unmissable show to The Cave Inn on May 8.

Love Thrills are an all-queer synth-rock outfit from Jinibara country on the Sunshine Coast, blending punk undercurrents and pop sprinkles into anthems built to be sung at full volume. Their live shows are wildly energetic; big hooks, big guitars, big feelings and a room full of queer folk dancing, laughing and losing themselves completely. Since 2024, they’ve headlined The Cave Inn repeatedly, drawing crowds from across SEQ who come for the vibrance, stay for the chaos, and leave utterly converted. Jodes, and Nyssa write songs about love in all its forms, from the hook ups to the break ups to the make ups, and perform them with the kind of infection joy that makes every show feel personal.
The Graveyard Club is a proudly femme and queer-fronted band from Meanjin wielding a hard grunge, nu-metal sound to back lyrics that hit with real weight. Their energetic live performances carry both grit and purpose, tackling social issues and universal human experiences with equal ferocity.
Meaning based all female trio The Bykes bring the raw feminist fury of Riot Grrrl and the melodic off-kilter punch of 90s alt-rock into one high-energy live show. Think Bikini Kill’s confrontational edge, Breeders-stile hooks and Batmobile-esque kick underneath.
