This dyke bar can be found upstairs from Better Than Hot Chocolate, your local lesbian cat cafe, bookstore and folk venue on the street level space. This sapphic coffee shop is up late for this special event, with tea, coffee, cake and folk music. Plus political zines and poster making.

This is part of the Magandjin ‘dyke’ bar project - a three part series of themed bars around Brisbane over July and August.
We are using the term ‘dyke’ expansively to encompass the infinite nature of gender and identities. These dyke bars are open to anyone who identifies with, or is an accomplice of, dykes and dyke culture whether past, present, or future.
We respect the Jagera and Turrbal peoples and their unbroken sovereignty in this place. We also acknowledge the feelings of dissonance that come with anything jolly in the midst of unfolding genocides, happening here on this continent, in Palestine, and around the world. We hope this event might play a role in helping us connect, conspire, and disrupt colonialism and genocide in all its forms.
